Dear Essential Drops of Joy Readers,
The Current Global Climate and What It Means for You
So much has been happening in the world lately, especially in the United States, and some of you may be wondering how it will affect you and Young Living. While the current period may feel unsettled, I believe that in the months ahead, a new and better routine will emerge. Many well-known news outlets have long received selective information, and now people are turning to alternative sources for more truthful news. Though I can only share some of what’s going on right now, it may seem bleak at first, but remember—when you’re cleaning house, things often look messier before they improve.
Tariffs and Trade Imbalances
One area of concern is tariffs and the impact on consumers. The Trump administration has shown the economic imbalance to about eighteen nations, many of which are defended by the US, receive subsidies, and charge the US much higher tariffs than we impose on them. Take Canada, for example. The US has funded Canada’s defense system since the 1960s and continues to maintain it. The US also provides Canada with $2.6 billion in annual subsidies. In return, Canada sends the US essential resources like electricity, oil, and gas. Despite this massive trade partnership, the figures are unbalanced. Recently, negotiations have suggested that tariffs should be equalized, with both nations paying the same amount. The tariff laws, written in the early history of the US to defend against British domination, have remained largely unchanged since the Boston Tea Party. The Trump administration believes that America has been taken advantage of for too long and that it’s time for change. These changes may seem disruptive to some countries, but ultimately, a more level playing field will emerge, along with more lawful sanctions.
Addressing Crime and Drug Issues
But that’s not all that’s happening. President Trump has been addressing serious issues like slavery, drug cartels, the drug trade, and the staggering number of missing children—three million in total. In Montana, fentanyl and other drugs are being smuggled through Canada, with small planes dropping off shipments for gangs waiting in the fields. The highest rates of teenage suicides are occurring on Montana’s Indian Reservations. Cartels and gangs are being arrested, with many facing deportation, leaving behind a trail of destruction. President Trump has warned that countries failing to combat these crimes will face heavy tariffs until they take action. Sadly, more Americans have died from drug overdoses than the total number of people killed in the Vietnam War. While not all of these issues can be resolved overnight—especially when there is opposition, some of whom have committed crimes themselves—positive change is coming. It will pave the way for a brighter future, not just for the US, but for the world.
Looking Forward to Better Times
As energy prices, including oil, gas, and groceries, become more affordable, we can look forward to reduced costs across various sectors. Diesel fuel, Young Living’s largest expense, directly impacts all of our farms and is reflected in our prices. Taxes are high, daycare costs are rising, and children's clothing is becoming more expensive. Despite these challenges, Young Living remains stable, a leader in research, and is gaining recognition in the scientific community for its Seed to Seal standards.
Young Living’s Impact and Innovations
With Robert Kennedy overseeing health-related matters, we can expect exciting advancements in devices, products, and inventions that will benefit mankind. I’m especially eager for the new scientific discoveries that Young Living will unveil at the summer conference, including insights on Vibration Medicine—because that’s essentially what essential oils are. They carry the plant’s natural organic fingerprint, which is encapsulated in every drop of oil. Plants have been placed here to serve us, guiding us on the path to wellness.
A Time for Change and New Opportunities
So, don’t let the negative news get you down. We’re in the midst of a "house cleaning" phase, and positive changes are on the way. This is a time for us to create new paradigms and seize the opportunities ahead.
May every drop of oil bless you, your family, and your pets.
With love,
Maria

Don’t Let Your Rewards Points Expire!
If you have Rewards points, make sure you use them before they expire! You can use your points to place orders in the US without worrying about currency exchange—your points hold the same value across borders.
Stay Connected with Your Downline and Prospects
It’s crucial to stay in touch with your downline and prospects. Don’t let anyone feel abandoned; we are a family that supports one another. Feeling disconnected is a major reason why people leave for another company.
Is Your Young Living Business in Your Will?
If you haven’t included your Young Living business in your will, now is the time. If you don’t specify, your business may automatically transfer to the next person in line. It’s important to leave your business to someone active and knowledgeable about how it works. Young Living no longer allows businesses to be inherited by someone who isn’t actively engaged. Be sure your intentions are clearly stated in writing. You may also consider partnering with an active prospect, which ensures the transfer is in place, but they must continue working the business.
Caution When Ordering NingXia Wolfberry Beverage
Don’t order the NingXia Wolfberry beverage if you suspect it will freeze during shipping. While the NingXia packages may survive, the bottle can freeze, which could affect the product. Dried wolfberries, however, are not an issue and can be ordered without concern.
